Pashma Sohail was born and raised in Lahore, Pakistan. She graduated as a textile designer from the Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design (PIFD), where her work gained early recognition through a research-driven thesis project focused on material development.
Her practice has consistently centered on material exploration and the pursuit of new outcomes within textile and surface design. This approach led to the development of a proprietary bio-based leather derived from cigarette waste, a material informed by observation, research, and personal context.
Supported closely by her family, Pashma continues to expand her work beyond Pakistan, positioning the house on an international stage through a material-led and intention-driven approach to fashion.

Founded in 2026, Pashma is a material-driven fashion house centered on the transformation of discarded resources into considered, wearable forms. The brand approaches design through material discipline, where research, refinement, and responsibility guide every decision.
All materials developed by the house undergo extensive research and testing prior to release. Development and testing are conducted in alignment with CAP-accredited laboratory standards and REACH compliance, ensuring that each material meets strict requirements for safety, wearability, and skin contact. Products are released only when they are confirmed to be non-toxic, odorless, and suitable for prolonged use.
